THE national ladies cricket team suffered their third consecutive defeat at the ongoing tri-nation series in Namibia on Wednesday.
They suffered a five-wicket loss against the hosts at Wanderers Sports Club.
Namibia skipper Sute Witmann led from the front scoring 56 off 48 balls after they won the toss and sent Zimbabwe to bat first.
Zimbabwe made two changes to the squad that lost to UAE on Tuesday. The duo of Runyararo Pasipanodya and Chipo Moyo came in for Josephine Nkomo and Tawananyasha Marumani.
Seeking their second win of the tri-nation series after being put to bat first, Zimbabwe had an improved but not a perfect start to their innings compared to their previous game on Tuesday.
Zimbabwe lost their first wicket in the fourth over when Kelis Ndlovhu was run out by Wilka Mwatile.
The Lady Chevrons added 45 more runs before losing their second wicket of the day with a Modester Mupachikwa run-out .
Namibia were to strike again two balls into the 11th over, claiming the wicket of Beloved Biza.
Zimbabwe went on to lose two more wickets in succession at the end of the 12th and start of the 13th over. Lady Chevrons were restricted to 133 runs for the loss of seven wickets.
