Former Harare City winger Tatenda Tumba says it wasn’t easy leaving his team for CAPS United after having stayed at the club for five years.
Tumba joins former Yadah player Leeroy Mavunga who also joined the Green Machine on Saturday.
The 2018 rookie of the year believes it’s time for him to face new challenges after having stayed at his club for such a long time.
“It wasn’t easy to make this decision to leave the club but I think it’s a good time to face new challenges.
“My heart will always be with you Sunshine family. We meet to part and part to meet, “he said.
Tumba says that the club also helped him achieve his targets.
“I have many achievements to cherish from our time together , including being selected as the PSL most promising player of the year 2018 , winning the Chibuku super cup twice , being called to the Zimbabwe Under 23 and Under 20 national team in which we were silver medalists in the Cosafa tournament.
“I would like to express my greatest appreciation to all the Sunshine family for the five years we’ve spent together.
“To the team executive and technical staff, I’m really grateful for your patience with me. You took me straight from school and nurtured me into the person I am today, “he said.
“I also express sincere gratitude to the fans for your unwavering support. And above all , I would like to thank the Almighty God for guiding and leading us throughout these five successful years we’ve been together , mostly for managing us to survive relegation last season, I am forever grateful.
“Once again thank you for the good time we had together. I wish the team well in future.”
