Warriors coach Zdrako Logarusic says he is happy with the progress his team has made in camp.
Warriors were in camp in preparation for the Confederation of African Football (CAF) which was postponed following concerns over COVID 19 also known as the corona virus in Africa.
The tournament was going to be held from the 4th to the 25th of April in Cameron.
Warriors are set to play a friendly match against Ngezi today before they break camp on Thursday.
“We will have a friendly match against Ngezi.
“We are trying different combinations, we want to see how far we’ve gone and want to keep them fit since they haven’t been playing because it’s off season.
“We will break on Thursday as we wait for the date to be announced,” he said.
Loga is reported to have called in six more players in camp who include FC Platinum’s striker Silas Songani, Ngezi Platinum duo of Denver Mukamba and Gerald Tekwara.
“We might call in some players when we resume.
“There might be some additions,” he said
The former Sudan coach says Zimbabwe has quality players though he feels he needs to work on some things.
“The squad is like what I expected, we have quality players here, and we need to work on some individuals.
“But the team is organized, well disciplined and I’m satisfied.
“We need to try and improve on better running and better movement with the ball and I’ve explained to them what’s expected from them as players,” he said.
Loga had dropped the Highlanders trio who include Peter Muduwa, Prince Dube and Ariel Sibanda from the squad because their club had not released them.
When asked if he will return them he said:
“The club refused to release them so there’s nothing we can do.
“Their club didn’t respect and support the national team. So I have no choice but to work with those we have.”
