WARRIORS coach Zdravko “Loga” Logarusic has promised the nation a positive result in today’s clash tie against South Africa.

Zimbabwe face Bafana Bafana in a Group G 2022 World Cup qualifier at the National Sports Stadium in what has been dubbed the Limpopo derby.

Bafana coach Hugo Broos said they are aware that Zimbabwe are missing some key players but will not underestimate them.

Kick Off is 3pm.

Speaking ahead of the match, Loga said in as much as they missing a number of regular players, they are going into the match with their heads up.

“I am assuring you that we are going to make positive results despite the challenges we are facing,” said Loga.

The Croat is missing the services of UK-based stars and other players who failed to travel due to Covid-19 travel restrictions.

In his post-match press briefing yesterday, Loga said some of his natural defenders in camp – Alec Mudimu and Kelvin Moyo – are not match fit.

He said he will be forced to deploy make-shift centre backs, a decision that will affect other positions.

“We came to play this game without nine of our stars, it’s not an excuse but our problems ahead of the match,” said Loga.

Bafana coach Hugo Broos said they are aware that Zimbabwe are missing some key players but will not underestimate them.

“The game is not only tough but also risky because we know Zimbabwe had problems in having some of their players released.

“So for us it’s a risk because we would underestimate them but we are not going to do that. The players who are going to play want to prove a point,” said Broos.
