LUMUMBA Gerald William Mutumanje also known as Acie Lumumba is today expected to be back in court on charges of fraud and forgery.
He is standing accused of forging a vehicle registration book for his mother’s car and conning another person of US$1 850.
Lumumba, who was last week freed on US$400 bail for undermining the authority of the President, is today expected to appear in court for his bail application.
The 28-year-old is being jointly charged with Tonderai Maphosa and Gilson Mubaiwa on forgery and fraud charges.
He initially appeared before Harare magistrate Vakayi Chikwekwe last Saturday before he was remanded to today for his bail application.
Circumstances leading to Lumumba and his accomplices’ arrest are that he was given a Toyota Ipsum to sell on his mother’s behalf.
Reports are that he manufactured the car’s registration book before taking the car to a car sale.
The offence came to light after the potential buyer discovered that the Toyota Ipsum was not registered with the Central Vehicle Registry.
