Afro fusion artiste Chido Machanzi has collaborated with Sudanese songstress Beckie Johnz in a song Manyemwe.
The Musikana Wemagitare hit-maker said it’s a great experience to work with someone from far away.
“It’s my first time working with someone from far and it’s such a huge experience in which I am learning a lot working with her.
“She is such huge star in her country and we are working towards video right now.
“I am loving the process of everything, we did our best and I am happy about this project as well as the love I am getting from her nation.
“She is both an inspiration to me and this is just a big moment working with her, I am honoured,” she said.
Prior to this project Machanzi has done different projects earning herself relevance in the local charts.
“I have done a couple of projects alone such as Sumba, Vhima, Tora and many songs that people liked in my two albums so far.
“My first hit song Shumba produced by DJ Tamuka opened many gates for it was number 38 on top chats new year eve Power FM.
“I had lots of interviews on tv Woza Friday, Star FM, Coke on the beat.
“I have more projects coming up and until now I am recognized,” added Machanzi.
She bemoaned some financial constraints.
“Financial challenges have derailed some of the efforts but the more I work hard it becomes easier.
“I get inspiration from things happening in my life, that I get told and that I wish to be or do.
“Most of my songs are Love songs and the inspiration comes from both sides you know sometimes from someone telling their story so I can just put myself into the situation.”
