AFRO pop sensation, Chido Machanzi, has returned to the musical circles with an EP dubbed Manake following a sabbatical of three years.
The EP is made up of six songs.
The first single is called Manake and it features Kugz and is set to be released on March 15.
Chido said the EP explores the thrills and pains of love and she has sampled sub genres such as amapiano and afro jazz.
She said she faced financial difficulties during the recording of the EP and she called for support of young women in the music industry as most of them end up giving up on their careers.
“The songs on the EP will be released one by one during this month of March as I want people to have a deeper appreciation of the kind of art I was creating during my three-year break.
“There are times when I faced financial difficulties during the creation of this EP but I managed not to give up and worked hard as I believe this will help attract some people who will help,” said Chido.
Chido started her musical career in 2018 and has worked with artists such as Maskiri and Terry Afrika.
