DYNAMOS defender Marshall Machazane’s controversial goal secured his team’s win against Black Rhinos at Rufaro on Sunday.
Machazane refused to shed more light on the goal after he scored using his hands.
Rather he said he is happy for scoring a winner for his team at this critical stage.
Valentine Kadonzvo and Machazane were on target for DeMbare in the 25th and 82nd minute respectively.
“I thank God for the goal. I am happy that I scored a match decider. We had to score because we are at a critical stage.
“This was a tough encounter and we needed to collect maximum points.
“We did our best and as a team we worked ourselves out to make sure that we are left in a safe position,” he said.
“We just have to maintain the momentum and make sure that we give our best in the remaining games.
“This win and last week’s win against CAPS United is a really big boost for us as players. Because we need to keep our fans happy and we also need to fight relegation.
“They have been supporting us even though we were not doing well and we thank them for that.
“They should continue in supporting and believing in us. And once again thanks to the players for the hard work and dedication.”
Machazane is, however, optimistic that his team will survive relegation.
“I am sure that we will fight relegation. The boys are determined, we understand that that it will be hard for us but we are willing to fight.
“We will survive and we will do everything to make sure that we survive,” he said.
