South African pop outfit, Mafikizolo, introduced Tamy on stage at the Jozi Tese Festival that was held last Saturday in Johannesburg.

It was after their performance that Theo of Mafikizolo thanked the audience for their love and support and then announced that Zimbabwean song bird Tamy as the next act.

“Coming up is the youngest and biggest Zimbabwean female artist who is set to take Africa by storm,” said Theo as he introduced Tamy on stage.

Initially, the programme had slated Tamy to perform after Sho Majozi of the John Cena fame and then Mafikizolo after Tamy, however the programme change then saw Sho Majozi closing the show after Tamy’s performance.

“Tamy’s performance was really great, the welcome by the audience was amazing and they immediately joined Tamy throughout her performance.

“There were many Zimbabweans with in the audience and they could not contain their excitement when Tamy was on stage and gave her support by singing along to her songs including the recently released Zviroto song,” said her manager Doris Makwara.

She added:

“Tamy’s star continues to rise and Africa can’t resist her energy and vibe.

“This festival demonstrated that she’s a gift to the world as she gave a performance that was welcomed by South Africans and Zimbabweans who came out to support their own.

“Tamy’s performances continues to aim international standards, well-choreographed and interesting to watch.

“Over the years she has been performing with a large band but the band she used at the festival was rather slim which was good.

“The vision for 2019 has been to perform on such platforms and I can safely safe it has happened and as management we are excited and promise that we will keep working to develop a brand that is loved home first in the region and the world at large.

“Thank you to all who have given us space this year and those who also have linked us because they believed in Tamy

The festival brought together some of the most happening acts in South Africa which included Mafikizolo Sho Majozi, Ikonic, Boy thumelo and friends ,Durban knights, Holy Ray ,Simmy, Zamo Ralph Gum, DJ Ganyani among many others.
