WARRIORS midfielder Kudakwashe Mahachi believes the game against Botswana is key in their bid to secure a place at the 2022 Afcon finals in Cameroon.
The 27-year-old player said Zimbabwe have the quality to win the match if they work on their tactics to win in Gaborone.
“I’m going to treat this game with the same tenacity as other world-class athletes treat their respective sports. It’s about time we deliver what the fans have been waiting for all along,” Mahachi said.
He added:
“We’ve the quality and I believe we just have to work on our tactics on and o the pitch, that way we can change the game forever.”
Mahachi said the game was a must-win for the Warriors and the team must take all the chances.
“I’m expecting us to put pressure on Botswana right off the bat. With high pressure in their area they’re bound to make mistakes and we have to capitalise on them.
“This is the only shot we have and we can’t afford to let it slip. Right now I’m in the right mind state and I’m going to do
everything in my capacity to make sure we secure this victory. I know our country needs something to smile about in
these trying times.”
