HARARE’S impressive foodscape continues to bulge with new eateries opening up faster than you can knockback a tequila. Socialite and philanthropist, Wanisayi “Mahwindo” Mutandwa, has joined the queue as is set to officially open a restaurant ‘Maka’ Sip and Eatery’ along Seke Road today.
The restaurant is for her daughter Maka. ‘Maka’s Sip and Eatery’ aims to seamlessly blend into its surroundings, offering visitors a haven of flavours and convenience. Mahwindo, who is popularly know in the showbiz circles, said the restaurant was meant to generate her daughter’s tuition fee. “As a hustle, I have decided to open a new eatery place for my daughter to cover for her tuition fee next year. “I have had the best support from my boss at Habhana Lounge, business colleagues and friends, so to date, there is nothing that we have-not managed to overcome”
“The aim is for my daughter to take over after her studies as she is someone who is doing business studies.” The restaurant is a 100-seater and has a minibar.“We expect that having provided consistent good quality meals and service, we will see this space succeed and grow,” she said.
