A GLEN VIEW man last week landed in the dock after he reportedly threatened to shoot his girlfriend who had asked for rent money.
Willard Gudo, 55, was not asked to plead when he appeared before Harare magistrate Barbra Mateko.
Prosecutor Malvin Mapako alleged that on February 2, Ireen Mufunda, 25, who is Gudo’s girlfriend sent a text message advising him to bring money for rent because her landlord was asking for it.
It is alleged that Gudo told her to stop bothering him because she was in love with another man.
e court heard that on the next day, Gudo went to Mufunda’s house and parked his Jeep Cherokee outside the gate and called her and when she got to the gate, he ordered her not to touch his car because she had communicated about their love affair to Gudo’s daughter.
Mufunda is alleged to have indicated that she only needed money for January rent, which were long overdue.
Gudo reportedly drew out a pistol and pointed it at his girlfriend and ordered her not to interfere with his family issues before driving away.
