A Mbare man reportedly ran amok and attacked his neighbour’s minor children using a machete at the height of a misunderstanding with their mother.
Clemence Mukonavanhu (24) appeared in the Mbare Magistrates’ Court facing assault charges and the matter was remanded to November 23.
Clemence reportedly assaulted a 14 and eight-year-old during an altercation with their mother.
Allegations are that Clemence had a confrontation with the kids’ mother on October 11 at around 10pm at Matapi Flats.
The State said at the height of the misunderstanding, he attacked the 14-year-old with a machete on the right hand and she sustained a cut.
He also reportedly attacked the eight-year-old who was trying to prevent him from bashing their mother.
