A Glen View woman dragged her 38-year-old son to court accusing him of disowning her as his mother.
Janet Makoni applied for a protection order against her son Brighton Makoni who claimed his mother was responsible for his father’s death.
“Your Worship, he is my last born.
“He disowned me as his mother saying that I was responsible for his father’s death.
“He once told me to go back to my rural home and he insults me using obscenities,” she said.
Janet told the court that her son was staying at her other house.
“He is staying at my other house in Budiriro 4.
“He is using some rooms and he also collects rentals for the other room.
“I lodged a complaint with the police and they directed me here,” said Janet.
Janet said she wanted Brighton to stop insulting her.
“I want him to stop insulting me.
“I want him to be evicted from my house in Budiriro and he must respect me since I am his mother,” said Janet.
In response, Brighton told the court that he needed sometime in order for him to vacate from his mother’s premises.
“I stay at my biological mother’s place and I am sorry for insulting her.
“I want to be given time so that I vacate her house,” he said.
Presiding magistrate Noah Gwatidzo granted the protection order in Janet’s favour.
