A DOMBOSHAVA man dragged his former wife to court accusing her of disturbing his peace.
Lazarus Matondo applied for a protection order against his ex-wife Shiela Muvondi who verbally and physically abuses him.
“Your worship, she is my ex-wife.
“We were married customarily and terminated the marriage two years ago.
“She insults me using obscenities in front of my new wife.
“She also assaults me,” he said.
Matondo told the court the reason for the applicant to act in such manner.
“She came to my house pretending as if she was asking for the money for maintenance.
“I want her to stop visiting my home, if she needs money for maintenance I will do as instructed by the court order.
“I want access to see my children,” said Matondo.
In response, Muvondi said:
“He is my ex-husband.
“He defaulted $120 maintenance and that’s why I assaulted him.
“I assaulted her new wife since she wanted to attack me.
“He forced me to sleep with me saying because he is paying maintenance,” she said.
Presiding magistrate Noah Gwatidzo granted the protection order in Matondo’sfavour.
