A MABVUKU man has appeared in court for allegedly raping his minor girlfriend.
Peter Gwede was not asked to plead when he appeared before Harare magistrate Victoria Mashamba charged with rape.
He was released on $500 bail and will be back in court on January 21 2020.
Gwede was also ordered to report at Mabvuku Police Station twice a week on Mondays and Fridays.
The State led by Sabastian Mutizirwa is alleging that on December 26, Gwede went to Eastlea where his girlfriend stays and took her to a bushy area where the two had fun.
When Gwede was having fun with his girlfriend, he ordered her to come near to him and as the complainant came, he started to caress and fondling the complainant’s breasts before she lost control of herself.
The State is also alleging that Gwede started to remove the complainant’s trousers and pant before he raped her.
It is also alleged that the two had not consented and after raping the complainant, Gwede ran away leaving his girlfriend alone.
The complainant went home and told her relatives of what had happened leading them to make a complaint with the police which then led to the arrest of Gwede.
