TRIANGLE coach Taurai Mangwiro says he was happy to bounce back to winning ways after when they beat Harare City 3-1 on Sunday at Gibbo.
The Sugar Sugar Boys had gone for four games without a win and Mangwiro was happy with the victory.
“It’s a very welcome victory for us, we had gone four games without a victory so I’m glad that we won against a very good Harare City team.
“We can only make our victory sweeter and it was a good thing to win in front of our home fans.
“It has been quite a while since they last seen us win at home and I’m sure it’s a very sweet victory for everyone involved with Triangle Football Club,” said Mangwiro.
The Triangle gaffer also said it’s always tricky to play against your former team but only good application will decide the result.
“It’s always tricky playing against your former team and it was the same midweek against CAPS United and this Sunday it was the same against Harare City.
“However, it’s about application, you look at the team that they fielded most of the players are players that I worked with and of course they are a few new faces but it all goes back to application, who applies themselves better than the other.
“The game against CAPS United they got stronger towards the end of the game, we had done very well for the greater part of the match.
“And as for our game against Harare City we just came out all guns blazing and yes here and there they impose a few problems to us but overall we were always in control and deservedly won the match,” he said.
Triangle are currently on 6th place with 36 points and Mangwiro says he is aiming to improve on their last season fourth finish.
