TRIANGLE United coach Taurai Mangwiro is targeting a top three finish for his side in the upcoming 2019 season.
Mangwiro’s side finished fourth last season, a point behind Chicken Inn, as well as winning the Chibuku Super Cup.
He believes they will surpass last season’s performance.
“We want to improve on last season’s result not to say that we didn’t do well.
“It is every coach’s target to do better with each season and ours this time around is to make sure we get the championship title or at least finish in the top three,” he said.
Triangle have lost Phineas Bhamusi and Lameck Nhamo to CAPS United and FC Platinum respectively which Mangwiro has regarded as a major blow to his side.
Triangle have, however, signed players like former Dynamos midfielder Obey Mwerahari, Timothy January from Bulawayo City and Donald Mudadi from Black Rhinos.
The Lowveld side have also brought in Nyasha Chimutuli from division one side Tenax.
Mangwiro said the new signings are a beef up to the squad ahead of the CAF Confederations Cup which begins this August.
The former CAPS United and Harare City coach has reiterated that his assembling his squad with CAF games in mind.
He also hinted to H-Metro on possibilities of adding other players, if need arises, at the break of the season.
The Sugar Sugar Boys will participating in the CAF Confederation Cup on merit of winning the Chibuku Super Cup.
