FC Platinum will be without some of key players due to suspensions and injuries when they face Esperance in their last CAF Champions league encounter.
And coach Norman Mapeza described the development a major blow as he misses key players including Kelvin Madzongwe, Gift Bello and Kevin Moyo.
Striker Lameck Nhamo is also out due to an injury.
Madzongwe and Bello have accumulated two yellow cards while defender Kevin was shown red in their game against Orlando Pirates last week.
Madzongwe was a key player for Mapeza in the campaign having featured in all the matches.
“Bello, Madzongwe, Kelvin Moyo all suspended massive blow for us.
“But we have started training on Tuesday in preparation for the game,” he said.
The match, which is scheduled for this Saturday, will see the team travelling to Barboufields again after CAF changed that they are no longer using Mandava over accommodation concerns.
Platinum have used Barboufields for all their previous two home matches but CAF later gave them a nod to use their fortress in the asbestos mining town.
Mapeza’s men are going into the match seeking a revenge having lost the reverse 2-0 away in Tunis.
They are yet to win a match only managing two draws five games, leaving them anchoring Group B with two points.
