Black Rhinos coach Herbert Maruwa is delighted by his team’s perfect start in the league after a 2-0 over Highlanders on Saturday.
In an interview with H-Metro Sport yesterday Maruwa said the result was out of hard work.
“It was good game for us the boys worked hard to get the result, I am happy to start off with a win, it boosts the confidence level within the team,” he said.
Maruwa added that the scoring first in the early stages of the game eased pressure on his boys and did the opposite to his opponents.
“He did well to get an early an early goal it helped us to settle at the same time it unsettled Highlanders, another good thing is we did well on set pieces,” he said.
The coach went on to reveal that as a team they need to win as much games as they can in the first round of the league.
“The first half of the season we need to make sure we collect points because it will be more difficult to do so in the second half as every team will be playing for a cause.
“So we need to make sure we fight every game and we are take each game at a time, now we have shifted focus to our next game with Herentals.”
