AFTER a positive pre-season campaign, Black Rhinos hope to get a better result when they clash with Highlanders in their season opener at the National Sports Stadium on Saturday.
The army side played a number of friendlies with teams like Manica Diamonds, Ngezi Platinum, Mbare and TelOne among others.
The team’s coach Hebert Maruwa is confident of a positive result as they seek to start the season on a winning note.
“I was very pleased with the preparations and I can safely say that we are ready for the match.
“All I hope for now is to get a positive result because I believe it is better to start the season on a better note rather than to fight for your position when it’s too late,” he said.
Maruwa said they have been training hard and the boys are ready to deliver what they learnt during the off season.
“The team has been training harder and everybody is ready to deliver.
“We also do not have any injuries, hence, we are set for selection.”
He also reiterated of their plans of finishing the season in top four.
“We want to finish in the top four but it’s not easy but I believe this year we can.
“We are going to work in each training and each match to be closer to the top four despite the fact that now the Premier League is at a big level with big teams and a big demand for us,” he said.
Chauya Chipembere have strengthened their camp, adding players like Francisco Zekumbawira, Gift Saunyama, Marvelous Mukumba and Moses Demera.
