TOP radio personality, Phathisani Sibanda, will this Saturday celebrate his birthday in style with a massive party at Club Las Vegas in Southerton.
The Star FM’s 326 Express presenter turned a year older the beginning of this month but decided to throw a party at a later date.
The event, to be graced a number of the country’s top musicians, radio and club DJs and socialites, is open to everyone and free of charge.
Suluman Chimbetu, Peter Moyo, Baba Harare, Andy Muridzo, Tocky Vibes, Jah Signal and Chill Spot family of Fantan and Levels, Enzo Ishall, Bazooker and Pumacol are among the entertainers that have already confirmed their participation.
One of the organisers, Rest Mutore, indicated that some musicians will be confirmed as time progresses.
He said there are a number of enquiries from other entertainers on how they can be slotted in.
“Phathisani is a public figure, munhu wevanhu and we have been running around to come up a big bash that accommodates everyone.
“We then settled for Club Las Vegas because it can accommodate families as well, it is spacious as well. It starts as early as 7pm,” said Mutore.
The choice of venue and set up for the event was influenced by Phathisani’s background and his desire to interact with people from different backgrounds.
The radio presenter has made it clear that he represents the ghetto though he also mixes with those from uptown.
“Phathisani is from jecha, he hasn’t made that a secret. He is even proud about it; he represents the ghetto. Above all, he interacts with people from different backgrounds and is friend to everyone.
“That has influenced the choice of venue and the type of event we wanted for him to enjoy his day. There are several entertainers to grace the event and fans will have a chance to interact with their favourite musicians.
“We will announce some of the musicians to be part of the event as time progresses,” added Mutore.
Phathisani also spoke of the event, inviting people to come in their numbers to have fun under one roof.
“It’s an event to celebrate my birthday and I would be happy to interact with my listeners, family and friends on the day.
“I want to thank God for this life and many thanks to my team who are putting things together. In my own capacity, I am inviting people to come at the same time appreciating the musicians, fellow presenters and various stakeholders who have committed to be part of the event,” said Phathisani.
