Police have identified the five bodies from the same family, who were found dead on Sunday morning in Mavhuradonha Mountains.

The victims who were positively identified by their next of kin are Junior Zuze (61), Moleen Zuze (29), Ever Nyamasoka (7), Joshua Wanga (5) and Pardon Muteyaunga (1).


In a statement, police national spokesperson, Assistant Commissioner, Paul Nyathi has appealed for any information surrounding the mysterious death.


“The bodies of the victims were conveyed to Mt Darwin Hospital for onward transmission to Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals for a forensic examination in order to establish the cause of death.


“Anyone with information to report at any nearest police station, the national complaints desk on (0242) 703631 or WhatsApp on 0712 800 917,” said Ass Comm Nyathi.


According to police investigations the deceased had left their homestead in Manhondo Village under Chief Chiswiti, Mukumbura on November 3 intending to visit Zuze’s in-laws at a nearby Dzivamupanda Village.


The dead bodies were found by a hunter on the mountain that separates Guruve and Muzarabani.


Police are still investigating the matter.



The ZRP warns the public against abuse of Government’s agricultural inputs facilities. On 19/11/21, ZRP Rushinga arrested Siyai Kakuruwo (43) after he sold fertilizer from Government’s cotton facility to Munyaradzi Mudzikatire at Mabvundudzi B/Centre.

Meanwhile, Police are looking for Munyaradzi Mudzikatire in connection with this case.



Police in Kadoma are investigating a case of theft involving a ZESA transformer oil and copper windings at Solitude farm Kadoma on 19/11/21. Five unknown suspects dismantled a transformer and stormed a nearby house before holding the occupants hostage for about five hours.

The suspects later fled after hearing the sound of a moving vehicle.


The ZRP confirms the arrest of Zviitei Tsingano (23) in connection with the murder of Johane Jambo (29) at Chikonyora Bottlestore, Mudzi on 09/07/21. The suspect was on Police wanted list and was arrested in Mutoko on 20/11/21.

Meanwhile, Police have launched a manhunt for Prince Nkomo, Bongani Tshuma & Menelisi Ndlovu for a case of murder in which they fatally assaulted Bekezela Mpala with a knobkerrie several times at Runguje Village, Nkayi on 17/11/21. The victim later died in hospital on19/11/21.


Police confirms the arrest of Sylvester Phiri and recovery of silver Toyota Hiace AEU 4739 inscribed ZUPCO Bulawayo 075 with 181Kgs of dagga at a traffic check point along Gweru Zvishavane Road on 19/11/21.

The driver of the vehicle Dickson Nyagotsi was stopped and ordered to disembark from the vehicle before the suspect who was a passenger in the vehicle attempted to drive the vehicle away.


A scuffle ensued between the Police and the suspect as his plans were foiled by alert Police officers and the driver fled during the melee. Investigations are in progress.


The ZRP is concerned with cases of inmates who are absconding from COVID-19 Quarantine Centres across the country. From 19-21/11/21 a total of 76 comprising of 69 males and seven females absconded from Beitbridge Quarantine Centre. Investigations are underway.
