JAZZ maestro, Victor Kunonga, believes Ashton “Mbeu” Nyahora, can make it to the elite league of stars through consistency and focus.
Mbeu is set to launch his fifth album titled “Nhanzva” on Saturday at Jongwe Corner, Harare.
Kunonga, Mwenje Mathole, Dhadza D, Agga Nyabinde, Chipo Muchegwa, Terry Gee and Mwendamberi are some of the artists expected to support him.
As a seasoned jazz crooner in his own right, Kunonga has been in the game for years.
“He (Mbeu) needs consistency and focus if he wants to go far.
“He has great talent but talent alone, without consistency and focus, is not enough.
“I feel excited and honoured to be part of the event when is launching his new album.
“We are going to deliver our best on Saturday and show him some love.
“We are ready for the launch and we also hope it will be a success.”
Unpacking his five-track album, the Mbeu camp believes there are no fillers on the project.
The album carries eight tracks, including Mujolo, Dziri Kutungana, Ndakapfumbama, Bvumavaranda, Chipo (My Daugther), Dziri Kutungana, Svitsa Tsvene, Famba Murume and Kana Nzira.

Seh Calaz and Mambo Dhuterere have been invited as guest artists.
What makes this album launch a bit special is that it coincides with his 31st birthday.
He was born on September 30, 1992.
Meanwhile, joint proprietor Chadu Nedi, said everything was in place.
“We have done our groundwork and we are ready to help him make his launch a success.
“We have hosted similar events and this one is a bit special for us as we are bringing a bulky of jazz artists at the venue led by our living legend Victor Kunonga,” he said.
