FC Platinum shot stopper, Petros Mhari said he is happy at the Zvishavane based side, despite growing reports that he and other Platinum players on Simba Sports Club’s radar.
Mhari told H-Metro that he intends to stay with the three time champions, though recent reports linking him to Tanzanian champions (Simba SC).
The veteran goalkeeper dismissed the reports told this publication that he is not aware of this development.
“Truthfully I am not aware of anything that I am targeted by Simba SC of Tanzania. Actually i know nothing about it and I haven’t heard anything.
“At the moment I am very happy here at FC Platinum,” Mhari said.
The 31-year old goalie also expressed his disappointments, following the reigning champion’s 4-0 defeat in the hands of Tanzanian champions, Simba SC.
However, Mhari said the team has already shifted its focus to the CAF Confederations Cup play-offs. Platinum were drawn against Senegalese side, Association Sportive et Culturelle Diaraf (ASC Diaraf).
“We live to fight another day such is football, we only need to solider on and move forward.
“Apparently we have shifted our focus to our next game against Senegalese opponents in CAF Confederation Cup play-offs,” he said.
The 2016 goalkeeper of the year (Mhari) also urged all football fans across the country to rally behind the team either in good or tough times, particularly during continental competitions.
“I plead that all football fans countrywide should keep on supporting us in good and in hard times, we love them all. Stay safe Covid is real,” the goalkeeper said.
Last week, Mhari missed Platinum’s second leg fixture of the CAF First Round encounter against Simba after testing positive to the novel coronavirus just few hours before the match.
Moreover, in-form FC Platinum midfielder, Perfect Chikwende is also said to be strongly targeted by Simba.
