GOSPEL musician, Mathias Mhere managed to attract a huge crowd at his live DVD recording held at Harare Gardens on Saturday.
Mhere and his music group – The Saints of God – presented a marathon show as they were celebrating the success of their recent album titled Greater than Solomon, which is already winning hearts of many.
The live DVD is set to complement the audios which are already penetrating the music market.
The line-up included local gospel talents Kuda Mutsvene, Olinda Marowa, Vabati VaJehovah and comedienne Mai Titi.
The live recording began at 2pm and artistes set the stage alight and kept fans on their feet throughout the chilly prevailing windy day.
Mhere was requested not to get off stage as fans were yearning for more from the pint sized entertainer.
The song Mai John was requested for more than six times.
Mhere said he was truly humbled by this breakthrough and support he got from his loyal fans.
“I think we have become trendsetters and known for setting the bar higher with each album release and every show.
“We are grateful to God and our fans for this success this milestone live recording is an opportunity not only to celebrate achievements, but to reach for new heights.
“People have ignored the cold weather and sacrificed their time to make this day a success,” said Mhere.
“When the weather changed on yesterday (Friday) I was afraid it was going to flop but it is God from day one.
“I want to thank everyone who has made the day successful and will continue to deliver songs which uplift hearts of believers in these trying times.”
Comedienne Mai Titi said she was grateful being part of the live DVD recording and she will continue supporting Mhere’s music.
