MEDICAL practitioners say Health and Child Care Minister, Dr Douglas Mombeshora, is a man who listens to their concerns.
Dr Mombeshora was the guest at the Medical and Dental Private Practitioners Association of Zimbabwe’s annual conference in Bulawayo.
MDPPAZ secretary-general, Dr Cletos Masiya, said:
“Minister Mombeshora is a very different man and a different calibre of a minister.
“All medical practitioners were able to have an open discussion with him on many things that are affecting both public and private medical fraternities.
“The Minister promised to read the riot act and make sure that the medical aid fraternity and practitioners are paid on time and unconditionally by any funders that owe them.
“He also strongly promised and emphasised that those who are going to ignore this might have their licences withdrawn if they persist without paying as it affects the whole service delivery.”
Minister Mombeshora pledged to protect the welfare of medical practitioners in the country.
