The Gwenzi singer was slammed by social media users after he posted a picture of himself and a dog with a caption citing that he is in deep pain.

“I can’t find my sleep, it’s been 2 days since my dog Maxx died. I have been up since 1 am till now, losing such an important part of the family is never easy,” he posted on Instagram.

He was slammed by an Instagram user by the name Barista tk who said:

Another user Peejay also took a swipe on Magacha who equates a dog to human beings.

“Uyu Saba haana kukwana anoda deliverance chaiyo you can’t compare zvinhu zvisina basa nemunhu akasikwa ane mufananidzo waMwari,” said the user.

However, some users sympathised with him and passed on messages to strengthen him.

Musician Fungisai Zvakavapano commented saying she spent a week in a melancholy mood after losing a cat some years back.

“I had a week of grief after losing my white cat years back.

“Due to attachment it feels like you have lost a human being…,” goes part of the post.

Contacted for comment Magacha said he is in deep pain after losing a dog which has been a fried for five years.

“Maxx was my best friend and was clever. He was poisoned but he had a sharp memory.

“My dog was very clever and it could open the doors,” he said.

He added:

“It’s been days with no sleep since my dog died.

“I received the news while I was at work and Maxx used to dance to my songs.

“He was the first one to hear my songs before you guys.”

Magacha also told this publication that his dog was also his fan.

“I love animals and they have come to mean so much in our lives.

“My dog was obedient, loyal and it would turn three times before lying down,” he said.

Asked if he is going to replace the dog soon Magacha said it’s too soon to decide.

“I am still weak and I can’t say much but the truth I used to like my dog very much.

“I am actually thinking to dedicate a song to Maxx,” said Magacha.
