MODELS and fashionistas are set for an all-inclusive workshop aimed to equip them with skills pertaining the industry.
The workshop will be held at Germany Society tomorrow in the afternoon.
Speaking to H-Metro, Founder and Director of the initiative, Tinotenda Mjoni stated that there is need for the welfare of models, fashionistas in the industry thus the call for the workshop.
â€œWe are having the workshop tomorrow (today) at Germany Society from 2pm where we will have discussions and impartation of skills pertaining this industry.
â€œThe workshop is to try to protect models from being used and being taken for granted as well groom them.â€
According to Mjoni they want to make sure that all models are signed under an agency and agencies work with models accordingly.
â€œThe motive behind the workshop is to try to revive the modelling industry and as well equip all models with skills and knowledge regarding the industry,â€ he added.
Topics to be covered include, grooming etiquette, fashion and style, pageants, commercial modelling, promotional, petite, catwalk, body fitness, health, photography, casting, red carpet and spotlight, media, human rights and many others.
Meanwhile, the workshop will see facilitators including Shamiso Ruzvidzo from Fashion Weekend Zimbabwe and Catherine Zuze Modelling Agency, Oxygen Fitness Center, former Miss Zimbabwe, Emily Kachote, Tare Munzara, Tafadzwa Zimoyo and others.
The workshop will be a platform for models and everyone who are in the fashion industry.
