MOIRA KNIGHT is out to prove her mettle as a musician after releasing an eight tune singles collection she has titled Akamboimba Kuti Chii.
Moira says the controversial title is a direct challenge to her critics, who doubt her prowess as a musician. She is daughter to former Radio 2 DJ Eric Knight.
“The title came from the many speculations from people, mainly through gossip by literally asking why I don’t take music seriously and why my music is not available online.”
She said she loves to sing about love “as I’m quite experience when it comes to that topic, in both good and bad love.”
She had worked with several top producers on the eight songs.
“I worked with many different producers all based in Zimbabwe, MTM at Jah Prayzah’s studio, Cymplex, Oskid, Mount Zion Music. I recorded my very first song in 2015 about violence against women.”
Knight, who has a child with dancehall star Seh Calaz, said she does not want to talk about her relationship with her baby
dad, as the nature of their relationship is now strictly private.
