MOVIE director, Stephen Mutsago, has been accused of promoting his upcoming movie by using big names in the film industry who did not feature in the project.

One of the actors, who raised the issue, is Joseph Hakurimwi.

He expressed his shock and disappointment when his image was used in the movie poster.

Hakurimwi recently took to social media to express his disappointment after the insuniation that he was part of a new “Goredema” movie.

“Please note that despite having my name put on this poster of the ‘Goredema’ movie, I did not take part in this film, and neither do I even know the storyline.

“I last worked with Eastlife Entertainment Studios on the Smoking Gun Series which was in 2022.

“Go there and watch the film but don’t expect to see me featuring the film,” reads the post.

In an interview with H-Metro, Hakurimwi said:

“I am deeply disappointed that my image was used to promote a film I wasn’t even in.

“It is unacceptable for filmmakers to use false advertising tactics to sell their products.”

Repeated efforts to obtain a comment from Mutsago were fruitless as his mobile phone was not reachable.
