MUDADI IS A GEM

DONALD Mudadi is proving himself to be the man for the BIG occasions.

The Dynamos midfielder was virtually unplayable against Highlanders at Barbourfields on Sunday.

The match, though, came to a premature end, as it was abandoned after 37 minutes, with DeMbare leading 2-0.

Mudadi had already proved his artistry and technical ability with the ball as he dominated the midfield. Working in tandem with the workaholic Tanaka Shandirwa and Junior Makunike, the Dynamos midfielders were dominant and controlled the game.

Mudadi, who has four goals to his name, provided two quality assists to Keith Madera and captain Frank Makarati for the two goals at Barbourfields.

He spoke to Zimpapers Sports:

“We played our normal game, we took it just like all other games and we were good to go as we played to the coach’s instructions,’’ he said.

“It’s always good to contribute positively to the team in all ways possible and getting assists for me is also a priority.

“The only bad thing was the way the game ended.

“It’s not something that we look up to as professional teams.

“It’s unfortunate when you see some senior and experienced players getting involved in shameful acts whereby they should be leading others by example but they will be acting the other way round.”

Mudadi has been one of the best players at the Glamour Boys this season.

He has caught the eye with his strong performances in midfield and the crucial goals he has also scored for the Harare giants.

DeMbare appeared out of contention in the championship race but things have changed since the axing of coach Herbert Maruwa.

His replacement, Genesis “Kaka” Mangombe appears to have given the players to enjoy themselves and pay with a freedom which was lacking under Maruwa.
