CHRISTIAN rapper and influencer, Mudiwa Hood, drove to Masvingo and met Garry Mapanzure’s family following the death and burial of the singer.
Garry died on October 13 at a local hospital after an accident, which also claimed Great Zimbabwe Law student, Langton Madima (27).
Following his death, Mudiwa was one of the influencers who were criticised for not attending the funeral wake.
Mudiwa said he was still to come to terms with the death of Garry who looked up to him as a role model and brother in the music industry.
He, however, cleared the air saying he was also burying his cousin, Juliet Kadungure, who died in a bus accident during the same period.
Mudiwa broke the news on his Twitter handle, expressing his deepest condolences to the Mapanzure family for the loss of Garry who had a bright future.
“After my sister’s funeral, I managed to travel to our late Garry’s house and then the gravesite to pay my last respects to our superstar and met Mama, Daddy, muroora, and the whole family.
“Rufu ndimadzongonyedze.
“May God visit and comfort this good and loving family yekwa Mapanzure.”
Mudiwa said he was still to come to terms with the death of Garry who looked up to him as a role model and brother in the music industry.
“Still today, I can’t believe the young man is gone. I just hope his legacy goes on and we continue playing and streaming his music so that his son will benefit from his father’s hard work.
“Many thanks to everyone who supported Garry while he was alive. Garry RIP.”
