FORMER Harare City Queens player Mercy Mukwadi has joined ZDF Queens ahead of the 2019 season, H-Metro can exclusively reveal.
Mukwadi who joined the Sunshine City Queens in 2015 called it a day end of last season after she was suspended on allegations of misconduct and indiscipline.
However, the accusations were later lifted and she was called back to the team before the season was over.
Despite the re-call the Goal-Attack snubbed the City Queens as she was headed to her new found home.
In an interview with H-Metro, Mukwadi confirmed her move.
“I’m now at ZDF, I have already started work,” she said.
Mukwadi has promised fireworks.
“All I can say is that I will deliver. I’m not going to stop now because I’m no longer at City. I will do my best to make sure we finish in the top three. That is my goal.”
Asked if she still holds anything against her former team she said:
“I don’t have any problem with my team. What happened is a thing of the past I have moved forward.
“Maybe they are the ones who still hold grudges against me,” Mukwadi said.
She was part of the team that help team Zimbabwe in qualifying for the World Cup to be held later this year in United Kingdom.
“Playing for Harare City was one of the major highlights in my life, I’m grateful for the experience that I got, but I need to grow.”
