WARRIORS goalkeepers’ coach Energy Murambadoro has urged local shot-stoppers who have been selected for the World Cup qualifiers to grab the opportunity and shine.
In an interview with H-Metro Sport yesterday from South Africa, Murambadoro expressed confidence with local goalkeepers on their disposal.
Coach Norman Mapeza has dropped the likes of Washington Arubi and Talbert Shumba and entrusted faith in the local-based trio of Taimon Mvula, Bernard Donovan and Petros Mhari.
“I am happy to work with the boys. They are equally important and talented. I believe they are all ready to play and they are aware of what is expected at the national team level.
“Playing for the warriors remains as a dream come true to everyone and am happy that the local goalies have been given the golden opportunity to showcase what they can offer at this level of football. It is a chance that one has to grab with two hands.
“I think it is of importance for them to take this opportunity and make the most out of it. They cannot afford to let this chance slide. They all earned this national team call up, it was not by chance. I just want to urge them to rise to the occasion and make a name for themselves,” said Murambadoro.
