ANDY Muridzo will have to forget his marital woes when he meets merry-makers the much-hyped “Mafikizolo Live in Concert” slated for HICC this Friday.

The 27-year-old, who recently parted way with his live-in-lover Nyarai Mukucha for allegedly cheating on her, is one of the male artistes billed to perform at the event.

Muridzo is among the local contingent of supporting acts led by diva of the moment Selmor Mtukudzi along with Sasha Amadhuve and Gemma Griffiths.

Tocky Vibes, Star FM duo of Phathisani and KVG along with DJ Iroq, Tha Nu Vyb and a special guest artiste flying to Harare later this week are among the acts.

In an interview, show organiser Blessing “Messina” Jeke of Proma Events, said Muridzo was ready to meet fans.

“Andy Muridzo will no doubt be there at our show and he promised us a good show.

“He might have some challenges but we know him that he doesn’t put that too much when on stage,” he said.

Pitshou

On Pitshou Lumire who will be representing rhumba lovers at the event, he said:

“Pitshou is a tried and tested performer and having him for Mafikizolo is a plus on its own.

“He has since dropped a promotional video and he was one of the artiste who dedicated to his work.”

Messina said they would not forget the thrust the show headlined by Mafikizolo.

“Of course Mafikizolo will be the headlining act but let us not forget the locals providing cover at the event.

“We have an equally strong line-up of local artistes set to provide cover and we are hope it will be a fun-filled event.

“We came up with this unique line-up to give fans variety and we hope everything will go according to plan,” he added.

Messina said those who had already purchased advance tickets would not be affected by the new changes.

“Those who had already purchased advance tickets and kept them can still use them as we indicated before.

“The situation in South African was beyond our control and we had comply with the authorities who advised is to cancel it since the attacks were still fresh in the minds of many on the either side of the Limpopo.

“Mafikizolo too cooperated with us after the show was aborted and they will be coming after we made some adjustments.’’

It starts around sunset till late.
