DYNAMOS utility player Godknows Murwira is expected to know his fate later today as he is set to meet a specialist for a possible knee operation.
Murwira, who is struggling with a recurring right knee problem, is yet to start pre-season training.
He is set for an appointment that will decide whether he should go for surgery or consider other alternatives.
Dynamos team Doctor Robert Musara confirmed the development.
“Murwira’s injury is a long standing one. It is an injury he suffered way back when he was still at Ngezi.
“He had an accident and the injury has been slowly building up. We stopped him from playing because we don’t want to do more damage to it.
“We did an MR (Magnetic resonance) scan on him and we are at an advanced stage of getting him back to full fitness,” said Musara.
Murwira joined Dynamos in June last year on a loan move from FC Platinum.
Musara said Murwira can still play without getting medical attention but said there will be repercussion in the future.
He said the injury is slowly affecting him hence the need for seeking specialised medical attention.
“Murwira can still play but he won’t be at his peak, he won’t be 100 percent fit because of this injury, he will be in pain.
“We have since rested the player because we don’t want to worsen the situation.
“We want him at his best and the specialist will be back in country today (yesterday). We are set to go for an appointment with him and hear his solution.
“It could be a surgery,” he added.
Musara said they are doing their best to make sure the star gets back to the field.
