DYNAMOS captain, Ocean Mushure is humbled with the Warriors captaincy handed to him for the Cosafa tournament in South Africa.
Mushure will skipper the Warriors for the COSAFA cup tournament with Ovidy Karuru as his vice-captain.
Mushure believes unity in the team will help them overcome competition.
“I am humbled with the captaincy because it shows that my hard work is being recognized and that l have a leadership role in me.
“We are confident and ready to play, I believe if we work hard as a team we will bring the cup home.
“As the team captain I will make sure that I encourage the young players who haven’t been to this cup before,” said Mushure.
Mushure says he believes in the squad and they have blended well.
“The squad has blended well because of the sessions we were having and we also had a friendly match with Yadah FC.
“With all the training and coach’s instructions I’m sure we will rise to expectations,” he said.
Warriors coach Sunday Chidzambwa said he chose Mushure and Karuru because they are the most experienced players in the squad.
The Warriors are expected to depart tomorrow ahead of their tournament which starts on Sunday and ends on July 9 in Rustenburg.
