AN array of musicians has embraced Mathias Mhere’s new album titled Greater than Solomon launched last month.
Among the musicians who have filmed themselves singing some of Mhere’s songs are Jah Prayzah, Freeman, Nox Guni and Mai Titi among others.
They were singing songs like Ndizarure, Tirikufamba, Mai John, Munhu haasesekwe and Jakuchichi.
In an interview, Mhere described the move as a challenge to him and feel much excited.
“It’s a challenge to me because my fellow musicians are singing just like me.
“It shows that I have done something good and they are not from my genre.
“I am humbled by the response which my album is getting,” he said.
“Apart from musicians my fans are also challenging me.
“I am confident this album will realise hits considering rave reviews of some songs.
“Songs from this album strengthen hearts of believers in these trying times.”
In another interview, Freeman who is also working on his new album said:
“It’s a good album and the songs are touching.
“They also uplift hearts of believers; it’s a must purchase album.”
Mhere who is yet to tour the country unveiling his latest project said preparations are underway.
“I am planning to hold several shows in Zimbabwe as a way of unveiling my album.
“I have visited several high density suburbs in Harare where I sold my CDs and the response was overwhelming.
“I am yet to take the album to the outskirts and other towns.
“I have also a numerous shows in Europe and it’s an opportunity for me to charm them with my new offering.
“I will be also expanding my fan base,” he said.
