WARRIORS captain Knowledge Musona’s fine form at KAS Eupen continues after his goal helped them secure maximum points after a 2-1 win over Excel Mouscron on Saturday.

Musona returned to the starting lineup after missing their previous encounter against Anderlecht – his parent club –  due to terms on of his transfer.

The Smiling Assassin, who appears to have rediscovered his form, struck from close range in the 68th minute to complete a comeback for his side that trailed five minutes before the break.

Musona was well positioned at the edge of the box to slam home the winner following a weak clearance.

It was Musona’s sixth match since joining the club after the winter break and has two goals under his name.

The star striker hit form at the right time as Zimbabwe face Algeria in the Afcon 2021 qualifiers back-to-back encounters at the end of this month.

It was also a good weekend for some Zimbabwean footballers in foreign leagues as Khama Billiat came on a second half substitute as Kaizer Chiefs beat Orlando Pirates 1-0 in the Soweto derby.

Fellow Zimbabwean Willard Katsande, though unlikely to play for Warriors again, was also part of the Kaizer Chiefs team.

Danny Phiri and Knox Mutizwa played full time as Golden Arrows played to a 1-1 draw against Highlands Park.

The duo is not new to Warriors set-up are likely to make coach Zdravko Logarušić’s provisional squad ahead of the crucial encounters.

Norman Mapeza’s Chippa United – with Kevin Moyo in the starting team – bounced back to winning ways with a 1-0 over Amazulu.

It was, however, a bad day in office for Amazulu’s duo of Talent Chawapiwa and Butholizwe Ncube who both started for Usuthu and the result meant they remain bottom of the standings.

Terrence Dzvukamanja came on as a substitute as Bidvest Wits lost 2-0 to Kaitano Tembo’s SuperSport United that featured former Warriors fullback Onismor Bhasera.

Zimbabwean defender Victor Kamhuka continues to shine in the Myanmar top-flight as his side Ayeyawady United defeated leaders Hantharwady 1-0 to reduce the gap at the top to one point.

Kamhuka has started all the games and have gone for eight unbeaten, recording five clean sheets in the process.

Midfielder Marshal Munetsi also played the whole game as his Stade de Reims played to a 1-1 draw against Monaco in the French Ligue 1.

Red-hot striker Tino Kadewere returned to action with a goal to help Le Havre AC record their first win in five games.
