WARRIORS striker Knox Mutizwa says he wishes to bring his form to the national team when they face Botswana and Zambia in the AFCON qualifiers slated for next month.
The Golden Arrows star scored his fifth goal in his fifth start of the season in their 2-1 win over Polokwane on Saturday.
“It’s a good feeling that that I have been scoring and it is my aim that I keep on scoring for my team. I know that it’s a good thing but I must keep on working hard.
“Scoring comes with hard work and I think I have been doing that in training.
“And it’s my wish that I bring that to the national team since I have been called up
“I would love to continue with this form and also bring it to the national team if I am given a chance to play, “he said.
The former Highlanders player says his target for the season is to surpass the 15-goal mark.
“My aim for the season is to score more than 15 goals.
“And maybe be the top goal scorer in ABSA. I also want to help my team achieve its targets, “he said.
“Regarding to the national team I am looking forward to have a good run
“What we should do now is to make sure that we win games and be consistent and keep focusing, keep working hard and see how this progresses. I think we have a good team and I learned a lot during AFCON. If given a chance surely expect goals from me.”
Mutizwa also expressed his desire for a move.
“The team that was announced also has a lot of players who are doing well in Europe and I believe that if I do well this season I will follow them, “he said.
