Chipo Mukorama
A Harare resident appeared in court accusing her neighbour of killing her husband.
Magistrate Meenal Naratom granted a peace order to Chipo Kumbula, who accused her neighbour Gugulethu Kambanye for attacking her with stones and killing her husband.
Chipo alleged that Gugulethu threatened to kill her family, and the next morning, her husband was found dead.
“She killed my husband.
“She threatened to kill my family and l woke up to find my husband dead.
“I am living in fear because she keeps threatening to kill me.”
She also claimed Gugulethu attacked her with stones, accused her of being a witch, and told other neighbours that she killed her husband for rituals.
“Last week she attacked me with stones.
“She tells everyone that l am a witch and I killed my husband for rituals.
“She even told me that l am lucky to be alive,” she said.
Gugulethu denied the allegations, accusing Chipo of fabricating lies and seeking a false arrest.
She claimed Chipo assaulted her and her children.
“She wanted me arrested so that she gains control of my property.
“She is lying and she is the one who assaults me and my children.
“Chipo is fabricating lies because she wants me to be arrested so that she can be able to build in my stand.”
