DYNAMOS and Warriors midfielder King Nadolo has urged his teammates to use the same approach which they used in the previous African Nations Championship (CHAN) campaigns as they kick-start the tournament next month.
In an interview with H-Metro, Nadolo said:
“We have to look back, learn where we went wrong and consistency is key in the tournament.
“We should take the positives from our previous campaigns and work from there.
“My experience and form means a lot to the team, I want to take this opportunity to grow and to improve as a player,” Nadolo said.
Nadolo didn’t make the cut for the squad last year in Chan qualifiers against Lesotho and Mauritius.
After missing last year’s Chan qualifiers, Nadolo has received a first ever call-up to the Warriors squad for Chan tournament in Cameroon.
The Dynamos midfielder is hopeful of being called into Logarusic’s Zimbabwean squad.
“I’m feeling happy I’m thankful to God, I have been working hard and I’m glad hard work is paying off,” Nadolo added.
Nadolo urges his teammates to stick to their game plan to contain the pressure in Cameroon.
“We can contain the pressure by just focusing on ourselves and our game plan.
“I think it’s a good competitive tournament and we just need proper preparations,” said Nadolo.
He added: “Yes we are professionals it won’t take us long to click.
“I am going to help the team by always pushing, playing to the best of my ability and will see where that takes us.”
Zimbabwe will kick-start their campaign next month against the host.
