MARVELOUS Nakamba is set to start for Aston Villa start in their clash against Chelsea in the Carabao Cup tonight.
The English side published a poster with Nakamba’s face hyping the match on their social media handles.
And it seems fans are content with the Zimbabwean starting at Chelsea, if their responses to the post are anything to go by.
This comes after Nakamba’s solid performances in Villa’s 3-0 win over Everton in a Premiership encounter at the weekend.
Nakamba was substituted on in the 40th minute to replace injured John McGinn while the match was goalless.
The Zimbabwean’s performance was described as a catalyst to Dean Smith’s men victory.
Nakamba was praised for possessing the ability to disrupt the opposition, something Villa need to combat the threat posed by Chelsea.
In the Everton win, Nakamba had a pass completion rate of 95.2% after completing 20 passes as he looked a completely different player to the one that had struggled previously.
Of the 20 passes, Nakamba completed five passes in the final third which was the second highest number within the team, behind only Tyrone Mings.
The Warriors star gave his colleagues in midfield the freedom to roam in offensive areas.
