ZIMBABWE international midfielder, Marvelous Nakamba, extended his stay at the top the English Premier League tackles’ chart after adding five during Saturday’s 0-1 defeat at home to Tottenham Hotspur.
The five tackles moved Nakamba to 36 for the season, eight more than the second placed and Portugal international, Joao Palhinha of Fulham.
Luton missed a number of chances in the defeat, their second successive loss at home, after losing 1-2 against Burnley in a re-arranged match last Tuesday.
They have had a run of three defeats, a draw and only win in their last five matches.
Luton sit just above the relegation zone with four points from eight matches, tied with Burnley who however have an inferior goal difference.
All three teams below Luton lost on Saturday with Burnley at home to Chelsea (1-4), Bournemouth away to Everton (0-3) and Sheffield United at Fulham (1-3).

For his five tackles among other contributions, Nakamba was given a rating of 7.5 out of 10 by the Daily Mail. This was the joint BEST for Luton, tied with winger, Chiedozie Ogbene.
ADMIRAL MUSKWE STRUGGLES FOR GAME TIME
Admiral Muskwe is still to secure a role in the First XI of English third-tier Exeter City where he has made just two substitute appearances totalling 23 minutes in their 12 matches to date.
On Saturday, Muskwe was introduced in the third minute of injury time as Exeter City suffered an agonising in a 0-1 loss at home to Barnsley.
Exeter have lost four of their last five matches having only lost two of previous eight.
MUNETSI LOSES TOP-OF-TABLE CLASH
In-form Zimbabwe international midfielder, Marshal Munetsi lasted the entire game for Stade Reims but could not inspire his side again on Saturday.
Munetsi was somewhat involved in Reims’ consolation.
ZEMURA STILL SEARCHING FOR SERIE A WIN
Jordan Zemura was an 81st minute substitute as Udinese scrambled a goalless draw at Empoli in the Italian Serie A on Friday.

The draw moved winless Udinese to five points from eight matches.
Without starting a single game, Zemura has made seven substitute appearances for Udinese on his debut Serie A campaign and is yet to contribute to their goals with no assist nor goal so far.
KADEWERE MISSING AS LYON FLOP AGAIN
Zimbabwe international striker Tino Kadewere was not in the team line-up as winless Olympique Lyon blew a 3-1 half-time lead to draw 3-3 at home to Lorient.
The draw lifted Lyon off the bottom of the Ligue 1 standings with three points from eight matches while Clermont are bottom with two points from seven matches.
Their game away to Montpellier was suspended in injury time with the hosts leading 4-2.
