DYNAMOS coach Tonderai Ndiraya has admitted that facing his former team Ngezi Platinum in a Premiership encounter at Rufaro on Sunday will be an emotional afternoon.
Ndiraya, who was sacked by Ngezi Platinum towards the end of last season, hopes to bounce back from his 2-0 defeat to Bulawayo Chiefs last Saturday.
He, however, believes that emotions will enter the equation.
“It’s an emotional one for me, obviously because I had a good time there. I worked well with everyone there.
“Two and half years in a system is not a short time,” said Ndiraya.
Ndiraya said his coaching career cannot be discussed without mentioning Ngezi.
“I enjoyed huge success there and that makes the game exciting. That is why the game is so emotional for me.
“I experienced a lot, learned a lot as well and achieved great things,” he added.
DeMbare will be looking for redemption while Ngezi are seeking their first away win.
The two teams are separated by a point with Ngezi on 11 points while Dynamos have 10 points.
“We also have to be very realistic, we are facing a team which was second on the log last season, we have to make sure that we match them.
“They haven’t started quite well this season but we have to prepare well. We are going to prepare thoroughly. It’s a must win, we have to get results at home,” he said.
However, Ndiraya made it clear that he wants to beef up his squad to be competitive enough.
But he said he still has to get positive results with the available players until the window opens.
“Ninety percent of our team is composed of players, who are coming from Division One. That is the reality.
“We are in the process of still trying to acquire experience.
“We still have nine games to go before the window opens. We have to get results with the available material.
“I believe we can get results with the available resources although a beef up is really needed. But until the window opens we have to try and make sure we get results.
“We have to work on all the aspects of the game and try to grind results with what we have. We didn’t make it a secret that we definitely want to beef up our squad,” added Ndiraya.
