Chicken Inn and Warriors defender Xolani Ndlovu says he’s not happy with the suspension of football worldwide.
Chicken Inn yesterday announced that they will not be doing football related activities until further notice in order to curb the spread of Coronavirus.
“I’m disappointed, this virus disturbed plans as much as football is concerned.
“I miss being in action. Usually our league commences around these days and we should have been focusing on our matches but it went the other way. I’m now forced to do other activities to keep my body in shape.”
Ndlovu, who was part of the Chan squad whose camp was dissolved last week in line with Covid-19, described the development as a disappointing one.
“I was supposed to be preparing for the Chan finals in Cameron but because of this virus the tournament was postponed.
“The call up was so important to me because I had a great opportunity to showcase my talent. I’m not even happy because of this virus.”
Xolani, however, welcomed the development saying people’s lives are more important.
“On the other hand the development is good. Our lives are more important than anything. If it’s about football we will play when the virus is gone.
“I am not affected or exposed because we are not training until further notice, we are on social distancing. I think I am safe.” he said.
