South African gospel artiste Derrick Ndzimande is expected to grace Reverend Chivaviro’s album launch at Germiston Prayer Centre, SA on April 1.
Chivaviro’s new offering is titled Maranatha. Ndzimande’s influence and soft spot for Zimbabwean artistes is expected to play a major role in endorsing Chivaviro on the South African music scene.
In an interview, Chivaviro confirmed the date with Ndzimande.
“We have been privileged to have one of South Africa’s top gospel artistes to play guest at our album launch on April 1.
“This is an honor for the family and the effort will go a long way in defining us on the international music platform,” he said.
“We are promising our fans a well put up album launch and expecting a huge turnout on the night.
“Everything is in place and we are geared up for the date with our fans.”
Songs on the album will include Tariro Yangu, Zvaitwa Zvaitwa, Chechi Yoenda Sehondo, Wabaiwa and Maranatha among others.
The Ebenezer hit-maker has lined up another similar launch for his Zimbabwean fans on April 4th.
He has promised to unleash two of his siblings Machaya and Tsungirirayi Chivaviro with whom he collaborated on two songs.
Ndzimande is popular with his deep falsetto baritone voice, he is a pastor, music producer and made waves with his albums Nangu Jesu and Everlasting Joy.
