NEWS: PSL matches moved

Sports Reporter

LOCAL football fans will have to wait another week for the two decisive remaining fixtures of the season after the Premier Soccer League moved the matches to next week.

“The Castle Lager Premier Soccer League Matchdays 33 and 34 fixtures shall be played from Tuesday 10 December 2019 to Sunday 15 December 2019.

“The full fixtures will be released during the week,” announced PSL.

The move came as a result of FC Platinum’s participation in the CAF Champions League group stage this Saturday.

Pure Platinum Play host Etoile du Sahel of Tunisia at Barbourfields.

The Zvishavane miners are in title race with CAPS United, separated by only two points.

And to avoid possible results manipulation, decisive matches of the season are usually played same time leaving the PSL chiefs to move Matchday 33 to  next week.

CAPS are travelling to Ngezi Platinum in their next encounter while FC Platinum host Black Rhinos at Mandava.

Third-placed Chicken Inn who still have a mathematical chance of winning the championship are visiting Herentals.

Interestingly, CAPS and Platinum face off in the final match of the season.
