Zimbabwe international Tino Kadewere will have to wait a bit longer to make his competetive debut for Olympique Lyon after failing to make it into the team playing Paris Saint Germain Friday night.
Rudi Garcia announced his team, without Kadewere, to face PSG in the Coupe de Ligue final at the Stade de France Arena an hour before kick off.
Zimbabweans were looking foward to see the Warriors star getting a run after the team announced that he was available for selection on Thursday.
The former Harare City player impressed on his arrival at the French top-flight side after scoring four goals in Lyon’s 12-0 hammering of lowly-rated Swiss side Port Valais in a friendly earlier this month.
Kadewere joined the Lyon from Ligue 2 side Le Havre where he won the golden boot.
He scored 20 goals in 24 appearances before the second division was cancelled due to coronavirus with Havre finishing sixth.
